Deidre Shumate Spencer

Married, 25 years this past March.

Due to my husbands job, we have moved 13+ in the 25 yrs together. We finally came back home in 2010 to be near my parents who were in poor health.
We love to travel. We prefer cruises for vacation. We have been all over the Caribbean and LOVE IT!
My oldest son is a math teacher at Wainwright Middle School. My youngest will graduate from McCutcheon in June. He plans to attend to ISU in the fall for mechanical engineering. My middle son attends ISU for electrical engineering. And my daughter finally moved home last year at Thanksgiving. She had lived in Tampa, FL.

My husbands job has taken us from Lafayette to Louisville to Ft. Wayne, to Chicago, to the Delphi area. We proceed to several Birmingham areas to Montgomery back to Birmingham and finally home ( until the next adventure that is! )

I do have family left in the area. Both my parents passed away in 2011. I have a sister and her family and the mom's family.

I email and Facebook several friends. With everyone's busy life, its hard to get together on a regular basis.

I moved out of the house to Monticello with my husband and had my 1st son.
I attended Ivy Tech for 2 years while working full-time.

I am the office manager for pharmaceutical manufacturing company in the Purdue Research Park. I am also taking classes through Cornell University for Hospitality Management.

I like to read & color (I know, I've been told I'm too old for that, but I love it!) I hang out with my family and play games and cards.
We like to do "mini vacations" whenever we can.
In the summer, I love to watch my niece and nephew play ball and soccer.

My favorite time of high school was the year that my friends and I would play tricks on each other. How about the time that "someone" (I believe Karen and someone) stuck plastic forks in my front yard..my whole front yard! It looked like it had snowed, there were so many. Oh, my mom got so mad at me. So in return, myself and a friend went to Karen's house and wrapped toilet paper between the trees that lined both sides of her driveway and toilet papered the other trees. Those were the best times! I had so much fun, not knowing what to expect from who.
